Can My Hair Change Porosities?

A question I often get is, "Can my hair change porosities?"

The answer is Yes.

Over the years we all made the cardinal mistakes of using so much heat on our hair, not to mention many of us get highlights or dye our hair that causes damage.

We all should strive for normal porosity, that equates to healthy moisture retention and acceptance.

High porosity (like me) has gaps in the structure and has raised cuticles constantly allowing moisture in but never being able to retain it.

While, low porosity hair is so compacted at the cuticle it just won't allow moisture to get in.

With continual use of  the correct products, protein treatments, deep conditioning, and some good old fashion TLC, you can absolutely change the porosity of your hair throughout your journey.
