Inversion Method (Scalp Massages)

Everyone knows how obsessed I am with scalp massages. For curly girls, there's never ENOUGH growth. I mean come on who doesn't want more volume and longer tresses? Throughout my own personal healthy hair journey, I've played around a lot with techniques and times, and I've FINALLY found the answers I needed!

The physical act of scalp massages gets the blood flowing to the scalp, aiding in hair growth. The inversion method is taking scalp massages one step further. As I like to say, the inversion method is for those hardcore hair growth addicts.

The inversion method is the physical act of bending your hair over forward, and allowing the blood the flow to your scalp much more quickly. The more circulation to your scalp the quicker your hair grows!

The method calls for one week out of the month. For one consecutive week (Seven days), do your scalp massages bent over like this. I've seen more growth when I use a couple drops of oil on my scalp as opposed to just dry scalp massages.

I'm a huge fan of the inversion method because it allows me to stretch my back while I do the massage and watch Shark Tank on my television. I modified the technique by doing it everyday as opposed to only seven days out of the month. My results are the collage above, both photos are two months apart (after scalp massages) . Two months of inversion method scalp massages with oil. You can clearly see more volume two months later.

Go try it for yourself and let me know your results! Comment your results below!

  1. Loving my scalp massages!!! Even my daughter is joining in :)

Xtava Black Orchid Diffuser Compatible Hair Dryers

What is the Xtava Black Orchid? A diffuser that is bigger than the normal ones on the market. Has tiny holes in the prongs to help distribute air quickly and efficiently through the hair to help dry quicker. The large bowl allows for quicker drying time for even the thickest of manes. This diffuser gives maximum definition to every texture from waves to coils. Since the diffuser is much larger in regards to width than normal ones on the market, (Xtava black orchid width: 1.8inch diameter) finding dryers to fit the diffuser without having to take out the little ring inside the diffuser is tricky. Xtava Black Orchid Nozzle Measure = 6 inch circumference Please note that the Xtava Black Orchid Diffuser is not a universal diffuser. A quick trick to help adjust the diffuser a bit more to your current dryer is taking the internal ring out of the diffuser, allowing it to open up more and accomodate a larger variety of dryers. Here is a list of dryers I have compiled that fit the X

Olaplex #3

Everything You Need to Know About Olaplex # 3 What is Olaplex #3? Olaplex #3 is called the "hair perfector." It is neither a protein treatment, moisture treatment or deep conditioner.  It is a bond builder. Olaplex #3's main function is to relink the broken disulfide bonds in every single hair type. It provides real structural repair that works from within. Broken bonds often result in split ends and breakage. Similar to a protein treatment, Olaplex #3 provides structure to repair those bonds and prevent split ends and breakage. It penetrates the disulfide in the cortex of the hair that gets damaged from chemical treatments or the overuse of direct hot tools such as hair straighteners. The cortex (center) is responsible for the hair's color, texture, and strength. Once those bonds are damaged or dry that is when split ends and breakage occur. How Do I use Olaplex #3? Here's a few tips to help answer the FAQ about the olaplex steps: Olaplex is meant to

DIY Oatmeal and Lavender Body Wash

Now, I'm the first to admit I love my Dove body wash. Who doesn't love that silky soft feeling on skin? But is that nice fleeting feeling really worth all the insane ingredients they put in them? Here's a few to name: Alpha Hydroxy acid (can cause sun sensitivity or burning) Methyl paraben   (parabens mimic oestrogen, which research shows can increase breast cancer cells) Propyl paraben (parabens mimic oestrogen, which research shows can increase breast cancer cells) Ammonium Laureth Sulfate (Extremely drying)  Salicylic Acid   (used for acne so may be very drying on skin even causing redness) Oatmeal and Lavender Homemade Body Wash Recipe: 3 Cups of Water (I always prefer distilled or filtered water) 1/4 Cup Oatmeal (steel cut or rolled) 1/4 Cup liquid Castile Soap 6-12 drops of lavender essential oil 1 teaspoon of vitamin e oil 2 teaspoons of jojoba (because it mimics natural body oil to moisturize skin) or Avocado oil(because on a molecular structur
